"Hi, I am Claudia Nagyivan, half German, half Hungarian, world travelled and living in Mallorca since 2006. With a background in opera and dance, photography has soon become my favorite hobby including some exhibitions in London, Aachen und Budapest. In my Berlin years 2008-2011 I worked as a film-maker producing successfully documentaries and trailers for the most important opera houses and cultural institutions such as the “Akademie der Künste Berlin”.
I combine my work as a photographer with my two other vocations, celebrating weddings and teaching singing and languages.
As a wedding celebrant, I love connecting with people and always try to fill my words with light and love. I do the same with my photography.
The word Photography actually literally means ‘drawing with light’, which derives from the Greek photo, meaning light, and graph, meaning to draw. I would like to include “drawing with light and love”.
I truly love life and am grateful for every experience as I believe we are here on this planet in order to learn and to grow as human beings. Therefore I embrace all the colours and love to show off the personalities of my clients. Portrait photography is what I have loved doing all my life and hence is in line with my love for people and all living beings on this planet.
Opera & Film Director
Claudia begann Ihre Karriere in Deutschland als Tänzerin und Choreographin und trat schon als Teenager in verschiedenen Musical-Produktionen am Theater Aachen auf. Nach ihrem Abitur studierte sie Gesang am Conservatorium Maastricht, NL. Sie trat in vielen Opernproduktionen auf, arbeitete erfolgreich als Gesangsdozentin und inszenierte Opernaufführungen ihrer eigenen Schüler. In London erweiterte sie ihr Studium mit bekannten Lehrern wie Noelle Barker, Rosalind Plowright und Chris Gould. Zeitgleich interessierte sie sich immer mehr für die Regie und hospitierte am Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Regie Keith Warner. In Deutschland arbeitete sie mit berühmten Opernregisseuren wie Peter Konwitschny, Hans Neuenfels, Andreas Kriegenburg und Andreas Homoki zusammen. Ausserdem produzierte sie als Filmemacherin zahlreiche Dokumentationen und Trailer für die Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Oper Leipzig und die Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
Claudia started her career in Germany as a dancer and choreographer performing in many musicals at the Theater Aachen already as a teenager. After graduating from school, she studied opera singing with Mya Besselink at the Conservatorium Maastricht, NL. She worked successfully as a singing teacher, sang in various opera productions while directing opera performances of her own students. In London she amplified her studies with teachers such as Noelle Barker, Rosalind Plowright and Chris Gould. At the same time, her interest in directing grew, and she assisted at the rehearsals of the “Ring des Nibelungen” at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden directed by Keith Warner. In Germany she has worked with world famous opera directors such as Peter Konwitschny, Hans Neuenfels, Andreas Kriegenburg and Andreas Homoki. Further, as a film director she has made several documentaries for the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Oper Leipzig, and the Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
Claudia comenzó su carrera en Alemania como bailarina y coreógrafa, actuando en muchos musicales en el Teatro Aachen siendo adolescente. Después de su graduación, estudió canto lírico con Mya Besselink en el Conservatorio de Maastricht, NL. Cantó en varias producciones de ópera y daba clases de canto mientras dirigía óperas de sus propios estudiantes.
En Londres amplificó sus estudios con maestros como Noelle Barker, Rosalind Plowright y Chris Gould. Al mismo tiempo, su interés en dirigir creció y asistió a los ensayos de la "Ring des Nibelungen" en la Royal Opera House Covent Garden, dirigida por Keith Warner. En Alemania trabajó con directores de ópera de fama mundial como Peter Konwitschny, Hans Neuenfels, Andreas Kriegenburg y Andreas Homoki. Además, como directora de cine ha hecho varios documentales para la Deutsche Opera de Berlín, Ópera Cómica de Berlín, Ópera de Leipzig y la Akademie der Künste, Berlín (Academia de las Artes).
Charity
Claudia travelled to Tanzania in 2005 with her friend Father Arbo. After her return, she founded the charity “You touch Africa” with him and some friends, which has since then become a registered charity in the U.K. and which now works successfully hand in hand with local projects. It was her idea that no money should go into any salaries nor extra costs such as advertisement. At “You touch Africa”, all donations go strictly and directly to the projects. Stay small, but efficient.
Claudia bereiste Tanzania in 2005 mit ihrem Freund Father Arbo. Nach ihrer Rückkehr gründete sie mit ihm und Freunden gemeinsam die Organisation “You touch Africa”, welche seitdem als Wohltätigkeitsorganisation in GB registriert worden ist und nun Hand in Hand mit Projekten vor Ort erfolgreich zusammenarbeitet. Es war ihre Idee, dass keine Gelder in Gehälter oder zusätzliche Ausgaben wie Werbung fliessen sollten. Bei “You touch Africa” gehen alle Spenden direkt und komplett an die Projekte. Klein, aber effizient, heisst die Maxime.
Claudia ha viajado a Tanzania en 2005 con su amigo el padre Arbo. Después de su regreso, fundó la organización benéfica "You Touch África" con el y algunos amigos, que desde entonces se ha convertido en una organización benéfica registrada en el Reino Unido y que ahora trabaja con éxito de la mano a mano con proyectos locales. Su idea es que no se pierda ningún dinero en salarios ni costes adicionales, tales como publicidad. En "You Touch África", todas las donaciones van estrictamente y directamente a los proyectos. Manténgase pequeño, pero eficiente.
